HouseFix Invites Bids from Contractors on Home Improvement Projects [Home Improvement]

HouseFix Invites Bids from Contractors on Home Improvement ProjectsIf you're a homeowner you will have need of someone with greater skills than yours at times. HouseFix will let you specify your project with photos and as much detail as you like, and bid the project out to various contractors in your area.

Most of time when your roof fixed or septic tank cleaned you call a couple of skilled tradesman to take a look and go with the best combination of price and perceived skill. This process itself can take valuable time and also cost money if you need to meet a contractor during work hours. Webapp HouseFix helps save you time weeding through potential contractors by adding a detailed description of the project with photos, tentative dates, and whether your project is active or just prospective and contractors in your neighborhood (which you can define from 1 to 50 miles) are invited to bid on your project.

It looks like HouseFix is just getting up and running as my small southeastern city did not show any contractors on the site yet. I'm hoping that it will spread quickly, though, and added a prospective project for a nagging electrical problem I haven't been able to figure out on my own yet. I imagine those in major cities should have more luck right now.
