Specialty Benefits, Small Business Sales Rep - Cypress, CA Job for ...

Responsible for selling new ancillary business into existing accounts through daily outbound follow-up calls on all 2 to 50 new business opportunities with our A/B brokers (non BAE brokers).


4 hours of "talk time" with a target of 45 calls a day


Make a minimum of 200 calls (outbound and inbound) per week

Bi-weekly pipeline calls with Renewal Account Executives (RAE) to assist with the selling of new ancillary business into existing 2 to 50 medical accounts.

Bi-weekly pipeline calls with Broker Account Executives (BAE) to assist with the selling of new ancillary business to our C/D brokers (alternating weeks with RAE pipeline calls).

Management of all 2 to 50 quotes (RAE/BAE/UHC AE, UHC RAC) that have questions or need additional rating insight.

Bi-weekly meetings with local UHC AE's (2 to 50) to review pipelines and provide product and process updates.

Support the needs of the small business (2 to 99 eligible) medical account executives in your region.

Conducting face to face monthly meetings with GA's and key brokers.


4 days a month in the field - average of 4 to 5 meetings per day

Monthly promotion of specialty to brokers via email marketing (drip messaging) campaigns.

Facilitation of monthly Webex broker trainings on product, process (quoting, case installation, credentialing, renewals and ongoing service) and administrative functions in doing business with us (i.e., UnitedeServices.com, EmployereServices.com)

Train and consult with brokers on product portfolio, quoting, installation and service model.

Support for health plan resources in sold case implementations on PRIME.

Promotes and supports the small business service model.

Gathers data and identifies trends on opportunity management and process flow in order to make recommendations on process improvement strategies.

Engage in other sales responsibilities based on the needs of the individual markets

Additional job responsibilities and market specific duties can be assigned at management's discretion.

- Understand this is a high volume, high impact and highly transactional role

- Required to be flexible

- Must be willing to travel up to 20%

- Must be licensed or be licensed within 90 days of start date.
- Bachelor's degree required or minimum 3 years experience in the industry.
- Sales experience preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
- Solid experience with Microsoft Office. i.e. Word & Excel
- Strong presentation skills required.
